Image3D, View-Master and 3-D Photography

Requirements for Image3D PopUp Viewer Projects:

• Completed order form.
• Completed Adobe Illustrator template with graphics for exterior and interior of viewer.

Information Regarding 3-D Photography for Image3D PopUp Viewers:

• Image3D can use existing 2-D photography or existing 3-D photography, or Image3D can loan you 3-D photographic equipment with instructions for its use by a professional photographer.
• For best results, whether shooting with the 3-D camera or your own 2-D camera, we recommend Kodak, ASA 100, 35mm color slide film.
• For those who borrow the 3-D camera, a template is provided with the camera to assure your images are framed to the correct proportion.
• A 3-D viewer is also provided to allow you to view your film prior to shipment to Image3D. Local processing at your professional film lab is recommended.

Information Regarding 2-D Layering, 3-D Captions and 3-D Conversions:

• If you do not use 3-D photography, Image3D can add 3-D effects to your 2-D photographs by using layering techniques, adding 3-D captions or actually converting your 2-D photographs to 3-D.
• For best results, we recommend original 35mm color slides. Duplicate transparencies are not as suitable because they often result in a lower quality 3-D image. For 3-D captions, specify the font you require. If it is an unusual or new font, please provide it on disk.
• Image3D can provide you with a PhotoShop template so that your graphics department or agency can assemble materials ready to be transformed into 3-D images. (If you are not proficient in computer graphics we can complete the assembly of your art.)

Information Regarding 3-D Cartoon-style Art:

• Image3D can create original 3-D cartoon-style art for you.
• Alternatively, you can provide your own artwork using our template and Image3D can render it to 3-D.

Information Regarding Scanned Images:

• Scanned artwork is welcome in the creation of your project. Scans should be from a high definition scanner, minimum file size of 3 megabytes. Save file as: psd or jpeg.
